5513 Bezel
Hi does anyone know if a 5513 from 1969 bezel should be unidirectional as in no click

Not unidirectional. No click. As indicated below, in principle the bezels had a press-down auto-lock feature, but I rarely find that it is very noticeable.

Hang on. What’s the deal with those crown guards on the illustrations? Especially the top one. They look awfully pointed to me.

Yes, it's funny that they used an illustration of an older watch in that brochure. You'll find many anomalies like that in Rolex literature.

My 66/67 5513 (1.6mm) is bidirectional with no clicks. And it came back from RSC a year ago the same way…just a whole lot smoother.
