🚀Incoming...First AP - 77350ST (Silver Dial)
I took delivery of my first AP ~1 month ago. Wanted to give it some time to enjoy and soak it in before posting here.
I absolutely love horology and the art of watch engineering so this piece means a lot to me. I posted on this forum sometime in April to get some perspective on sizes and models. I always appreciate seeing the regulars helping everyone out with questions/perspectives as they are on the path to making a very personal decision in which time piece to get. What can I say about the 34mm 77350ST? It's f*cking amazing and pictures/videos will never do it justice. For my (slender) wrist (5.5"/14cm), this piece is nearly perfect. When the sun bounces off thing thing...wow. Can't help but stare and smile hard. It's obviously very hard to get allocated a 15450 as a first piece so I was very happy when I got the call for this. I had to take 4 links off and the boutique is actually ordering a 1.5 link so I can size it perfectly, as 3 links off is a tad too big. Right now when it gets hot or my blood pressure is high, I end up with a AP tattoo on my wrist. For my wrist, 37mm (in AP) is likely the max where I don't start to look funny. I was able to try on a friends 15450 and it was pretty dope. I would like to try on a 38mm ROC just to know if it will fit (properly) on my wrist as well. For folks hung up on size when making a decision, you'll get 1000 opinions on this forum, from outside, etc. But ultimately, you gotta do you! Do what looks best on you and what you can rock/pull off. Every era has its sizing/opinions and right now we seem to be going through a bigger watch era; but then again, some folks look like absolute clowns in bigger watches as it's disproportional to their wrist size - don't do it for the clout, do it for yourself. I want to give a big shoutout to AP Boston, and especially William who was my SA. I went in April to introduce myself and chatted for 90 minutes, got to try on a 34mm they had in stock (it was the pink gold/diamond). From that, I knew the size was prefect to start out my collection with AP. I checked in once a month and went down to visit the boutique when I was in the area. ~2 months later, I was shocked to get a text and hauled my butt down to grab the piece. It came much quicker than I expected (I was thinking 6-12 months at least). It was almost out of hand that day, but in a series of unexpected events, I ended up with the piece. Everyone is super nice inside the Boston boutique; it's a fantastic vibe. I will end up purchasing some bigger size ROs as gifts for fam/friends if they come through and hoping with my (increasing) purchase history, I'm able to secure the following pieces whenever the time comes: - 15450 37mm Blue - 26315ST 38mm Silver/Blue ROC - 77350CE 34mm Black Ceramic that just dropped today! (wow) - literally any 37mm Double Balance Wheel Openworked (grail) My 77350ST time-piece, serves as a constant reminder to myself of the most scarce, non-renewable resource in the universe: Time. Make the best of what you have remaining on this planet. Below are some pictures I snapped and a couple links to wrist rolls. Included some pics with my gift from AP, aka mini-Mr. Bennahmias. For some reason if the pics fail to embed in the post or the quality is bad, here is a link to the high-res album: AP 77350ST Flickr Album Peace.
