Vintage seamaster buying advice

HI guys,

I need help deciding on a vintage Seamaster!(Or a speedy but i don think the budget allows for that)

I am looking on behalf of a friend of mine that wants to surprise her man with a vintage watch (good girl!!! wish my woman felt the same...!)

I am Rolex man so am not too clued up on the Omega scene, but the requirements are:

  • Syle :Mens
  • Metal: No pref
  • VINTAGE : 40 or 50's max
  • Movement Pref: Auto better than Manual better than Quartz
  • BUDGET : UK £1600/2500 Au$
  • Should be Waterproof but not required to be divers grade

Could anyone please suggest me which references are likely to match my requirements?

Also can anyone reccomend any trusted vintage sellers in Australia?

Thanks a Million!
