SS GMT II Crown Question

Hey everyone, really enjoying the new watch, probably appreciate and admire a little more with each passing day. I find myself wearing the watch occasionally, mostly evening's when returning home from work. Obviously, it is not worn enough to keep wound fully, so i find myself winding every couple of days to keep it going. What i have noticed may or may not be of concern (this is my 1st Rolex so unsure), but thought i'd ask. When i decide to wind, i unscrew the crown counter-clockwise until the crown breaks free of the threads and "pops out". However, when it pops out it does not always go completely to the 1st (winding) position. In fact, most of the time it pops out about 3/4 of the way. It only then pops out the rest of the way to the actual winding position when i begin to turn the crown a minute amount (1/20 of one turn probably, just barely have to touch/turn) in a clockwise/winding direction. Is this normal or something i should have looked at? thanks much for any help & advice you may be able to offer. Additionally, it has performed like this from day one and did not develop sometime after i took possession from AD.
