Yes today at the NYC Wempe Rolex boutique, all the female sales associates were proudly displaying 36 mm and they were pushing 42 mm on the men.

That said, the one girl looked trendy but out of place with a 36 mm Day Date. She wasn't big enough for it and it didn't even look as if she was making a statement. Just kinda off size on the big side.

Go with what works for you.
