After owning a Sub for 10years, I wanted a nicer Rolex. I got my Platty in 2007 and didnt realize how different the watches were. The polished rounded case and center links jump it into a very dressy watch. The bezel has bigger numbers and I am scared to knock it against anything. The red lettering is a nice contrast to a mix of shades of silver. Very nice watch and I get compliments whenever I wear it.

Oh yeah, very different compared to a sub or similar brush finished watch. The polished parts make this watch more delicate as well as dressy.
