"THE" Speedmaster.
I have always been a fan of Omega's Speedmaster, and I have encountered many different versions of it. It is one of the most sought out watch, where I live, and I have always been flipping through it - mainly because I make a profit out of each sales, and it wasn't extremely difficult to find one either.
But as of late, things have changed, and I have regretted selling my last one. The price is soaring, and finding a mint example, is rarer. Those I found are mostly "less desirable" to me, in it's conditions, hence I keep selling it off. Yesterday, I remember a friend showed me a picture of a speedmaster he bought off not so long ago, and it was too small for him (the links are short - no extra), and I had way too many Speedys by that time, and I wasn't interested. So I texted him and asked him if he still had it, and I was intrigued by its colour combination, as I haven't seen it in person, and I decided to give it a look. Lo and Behold. It is the most gorgeous Speedmaster (to me) I have ever seen! To be honest, I have always yearned for a Rolex Paul Newman Daytona, but I could never justify the price it's going for these days, it's a never ending personal debate. Plus, I have never seen one in person, so I have yet to get that "Oooh this is a must have for me". But this Omega really closes that crave - probably until I see a Paul Newman in the steel. So, for now - this is "THE" best Omega Speedmaster I have ever owned.
