4 line gilt 5512 submariner
Hello-A while back-I acquired a 1966 5512 sub from the original owner... I am a novice watch guy and didnt know what I had; -till I started doing some research and seems it is quite rare; a 4 line gloss gilt dial chronometer...I have done nothing to it-except replace with correct new crystal..It runs excellent-but I dont know service history......Question; Am i possibly harming the movement by occasionally running the watch without service? Where would a good place to service the watch be? Also-the dial appears original and looks good to naked eye-definitely not real bad-lettering is ok-but under a loupe the entire dial shows surface crazing/cracking.....Does the crazed dial diminish the collector value? The hands are ok-but do show some corrosion...Any advice? thanks!..
