Questions from Newbie

After much reading on this forum, and much browsing over the past few years, I have decided to by an Explorer II.

I also found an AD that was willing to be flexible on the list price, but would not do so over the phone.

Being this my first big watch purchase I had a few questions.

How much can I realistically expect to get off the price?

I am going to Aruba next month? Is there any concern about buying from an AD abroad?

Is D series the newest watched?

Any other guidance?
