Don't Crush Your Insert Pear l!

Hey Guys:

A couple of years ago I had my vintage Sub 5513 serviced by a reputable watchmaker.

When it came back, the pearl was GONE; just a hole in the fat font bezel insert...

A year later, I hooked up with a more knowledgeable guy who surmised that the first guy crushed my pearl when he re-attached the bezel & insert back onto the case.

He showed me his mini press, and the top cup had a nice triangular notch in it!

He then showed me that if you align the notch over the pearl, no crushing!

Now, I have a case back press with nylon cups AND a nice triangular notch to protect any pearls that may be present!
