"Upgrading" from 5167A to 5164A
Hey folks!
As I am 'maturing' my collection, I find myself pulled towards some useful complications. My job in particular has me traveling quite a bit between time zones, and while I could just use my phone or adjust the time on my watch. I thought it might be nice to have a travel time complication. A few observations: 1. I'm getting the WG GMT Pepsi (blue face), in the next 6-8months. BUT, this is a very flashy watch. I like to be a bit under the radar when it comes to client meetings. I have to have a nice watch, but not 'bling it out' in front of them, or have any display of 'too much'. So while I like the GMT for 90% of the time, I doubt I'd take it to client or personal travels. Too much attention. 2. The 5164 seems like a perfect solution. I LOVE my 5167, I truly think its my favorite watch. BUT, I feel as if I'd love it more with a bit more heft (2mm thicker), and more usefulness (complication). 3. When not traveling, I live in very warm weather (Miami) and find myself in the water often, and the 120m water resistance is good enough there (for when I dont wear my 116610LV). So I'm curious. I'd love your take on 1. Keeping the 5167 as is 2. Upgrading to a 5164. Sadly I cannot keep both. They're too similar, and only need one of the two. Here's a quick poll: |
