GMT PEPSI new-126710 v. old-1675 Comparison and Vote Now
Thanks to DavidSW for making this possible
These are the size statistics: GMT 126710 v. GMT 1675 Watch thickness: 12.3mm, 12.8mm Twin Lock Crown: Diameter 6.9mm, 5.1mm Bezel diameter: 40.2mm, 39.4mm Case diameter excluding bezel: 41mm, 38.8mm Lug width drop-out:19.9mm, 19.7mm Total Lug length tip to tip: 47.7mm, 47.0mm Crystal/plexi diameter: 29.9mm, 29.5mm So we are not talking sheep stations in size difference. It is surprising that the overall height of the vintage GMT is greater than the modern version. Also overall the dimensions have not changed greatly. The crown diameter is significantly different and the case diameter is a little greater in the modern version. GMT-new-old1.jpg Pretty similar on the outside apart from lug width.... GMT-new-old2.jpg Thick case and wider crown GMT-new-old3.jpg Plexi crystal adds to height of the 1675 GMT-new-old5.jpg The creamy goodness is hard to pass on the 1675 GMT-new-old6.jpg The new version has definitely bulked up over vintage GMT-new-old7.jpg 40 years old and the 1675 still going strong which is a testament to the movement and overall package!!! Thanks again to DavidSW for allowing me to make this comparison So which do you prefer??
