Platinum in ceramic bezel flake off?

I looked at my Daytona this morning, and the 60 in the bezel looked odd. I can't tell if there is dirt in the numbers or that the platinum flaked off. Depending upon how the light hits it, it looks like the platinum is all there. If I look at it straight on, it looks like something is in there/or missing.

2 questions-

* Any ideas on how to clean it (if it is dirt)?
* If it is platinum missing or something like that, is this something that will get fixed when I send it off for servicing in a few years?

Not really a big deal, just a good head scratcher.
