New Incoming - Quickly became "special"

Hello everyone!

Excited to share this beauty with you. Given the current "situation" in the Rolex market, I have been branching out into other brands like Omega and Tudors. I currently own a couple of Omegas like the Planet Ocean Seamaster in Titanium, and another Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph in steel but nothing as far as the "moon" watch goes and the regular Speedmaster didn't really speak to me.

Luckily Omega decided to release their 50th anniversary edition and the moment I saw it, I knew I had to have it! It had all the right checks for me.

Immediately I started calling local Omega boutiques and quickly found out that there is a "list" for this watch and most of the spots have been sold off. I could put myself on the "wait list" in case someone decided to change their mind but I knew chances of getting lucky this way would be slim.

Luckily I didn't give up and found a boutique who offered me a spot if I paid the full amount upfront. They told me that I should expect the watch by the end of this year and I was perfectly OK with it. Fast forward 30 days and I get a text from my rep letting me know that my watch has arrived! Not only it is an earlier number, but the production numbers add up to my birth date and the watch arrived on my doorstep the same day Apollo 11 launched into space.

On top, family and I got another exciting news which I will share with you guys sooon :D

I can't speak enough to the beauty of this watch. I know this is a Rolex forum but damn Omega knocked it out of the park with this one. On to the pictures of this beauty!

The soon to be famous "Buzz Butt" sub dial

Even looks stunning on an Omega Nato
