Need help with identification

Hello everyone,

I was hoping someone could help me figure out what model this watch is or any other information you might know about it. There's a five digit number on the inside, so I think it's the serial number, and according to bobswatches it's either a 1938 or a 1954. Maybe I'm even wrong on that, I'm pretty new to watches. Thanks for taking a look.
