That would depend. There are the Navitimers like the Twin Sixty, cosmonaute, and montbrilliant. All with the inner tachemeter.
The heavy models like the Superocean Chrono, and Skyland Avenger are popular And then there is the other Emergency models that have the emergency beacon device. As for the most popular, I don't know what one is the iconic Breitling. I'd choose a twin sixty, cosmonaute, superocean chrono, or Avenger skyland as my favorite. Google the pics of the twin sixty. I really like that one! |

I have a couple but this is my favorite, wanted a plain watch that was accurate and looked good. Probably one of the more popular models

Navitimer?
Don't you love it when someone answers with a question? Would that be a pun?

What are typical going prices on a Chrono Superocean at the moment? I got quoted by a local jeweler at...
Leather Strap - $3,820 / $4,060 (with deployment clasp) Croco Strap - $4,140 / $4,380 (with deployment clasp) Steel Strap - $4,160 I am sure I can get a discount, but how much should I be looking for?

You should be able to get one for much lower than that. Gray market price is right around $3K. I wouldn't pay any more than $3500 from an AD.

Is the deployment clasp worth it?

Buy one slightly used. I had one with a metal link bracelet, blue dial, and silver subdials.
I only paid $2200 for it on TZ. It was atleast 98% new. all boxes & papers. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. You can find them for that price regularly. I wouldn't pay the markup myself. Good luck! |

The Chronomats, over the years, have consistently been the bread and butter item for breitling. From the original Chronomats, to the Chronomat Evolution and now the B01, nothing sells like that model. The Navitimer would to be the most iconic and the corporate face of Breitling but the Chronomats have always been the most popular (by sales).

Breitling deployant is one of the best, but pricey. If u think u'll ever sell in the future, the ss bracelet will retain best value, as it's easy to polish to like new condition.

I think that Breitling does not have one watch that fits the 'sub' canon. if it does, then I think that the chronomat would be it...

The Chronomat is Breitlings biggest seller as it comes in so many varieties.

The Chronomat is the best seller for Breitling. I have heard numbers of upwards of 35% total sales from this model. Breitling sells around 300K watches a year much less the omega and rolex.

Really.........you think Montbrillant sells more than Chronomats???? Remember, the question posed is "What is the most popular Breitling", not "What is your favorite" or "Which is the most beautiful or complicated or most expensive".... the question is simply, most popular!!!! The only way to measure popularity is by which one do most people own and/or buy.
