Omega battery strap
Where and how can I find a replacement battery strap for an old Omega Case # 1455 watch? It's a tiny piece that holds the battery in place. I took it to my local jewelers and they told me the part isn't available. They suggested getting the entire mechanism replaced, which I think is over kill.

The part number for the battery clamp is 1455.9033 and 1455.9032 for the battery insulator.

Thank you very much for the info. It will help to locate the part. I know that the piece that holds the battery is place broke. What is the battery insulator? Only one piece fell out when the person tried to change the battery.

If you go here, you will see a PDF file on Cousins UK which shows the parts of the 1455 movement and see the part which looks like the part you require.

If you are in America, you could try contacting Otto Frei, the other option is to do a search online. I did and it brought up a company in Italy.

The part number for the battery clamp screw is 2740. Another company in America that may be able to help you is Nesbit's.
