Planet Ocean question
I see Planet Oceans for sale where the seller states it's the 'C' or 'D' series of the Cal. 2500 movement.
How do you know which series a particular PO has? Nothing in the paperwork says so, I would think it's tied into the serial number? Does anyone know how to correctly ascertain this? I have a Cal. 2500 PO and would like to know. Thanks. -Marc |

The font used for the date wheel on the 2500D is different. Here are some links regarding the date fonts on the 2500D vs. 2500C:

As stated above the fonts are different. But honestly the C version with The date fonts matching the fonts used on the dial just looks better and makes more sense to me.

I had no idea there was a difference between the 2500 models. But I just looked at the PO on my wrist, and compared the date wheel font and the S/N against those two threads. I actually like the datewheel on the D more. The numbers just have more "character" if that makes sense. Well, then again, my frame of reference is the datewheel in the Seiko 7S26 and ETA2824 movements which is in most of the rest of my watches. Haha.
