Q: Should I buy this watch?

A: Can you afford it? Do you love it?

If yes to both, then yes.

Only 15%?
You know that should you ever sell it, you’ll lose at least 35-40% of what you paid, and even that’s somewhat conservative.
Only buy it because it really tickles your fancy, not due to the fact there’s been some money knocked off it.

Then this is your answer.

There is no reason to ever buy a watch or other luxury product with some idea that it can recover cost at some point down the line, that just isn't realistic. The value in a product is it's value to you. None of us bought Rolex in the 60's and 70's with an idea to sell it later.

I know I sold my tag aqua racer to fund my airking now I miss it as that sucker was tuff something about 901 steel it’s weak but the 316 is a tank I work at a scarp yard and will not dare wear my Rolex’s but would wear a tag as my beater in all honestly
