Anthony Bourdain's Rolex, Patek, etc up for auction

https://www.igavelauctions.com/aucti...thony-bourdain

A lot of fun and interesting stuff being auction off, among other things his 34mm Rolex Date which was often seen wearing.

His wife or kids set up the auction to get more cash. They are his legal heirs. They are apparently not watch enthusiasts.

According to an article I read, his wife and daughter will receive 60% of the auctions proceeds and the remaining will going to the Culinary Institute of America for a scholarship fund in his legacy that will allow students to spend a semester abroad. A close friend of mine who went there did a semester in Marbella through a similar program.

I would love some of those Persols or some Ralph Steadman art. The Typhoid Mary book would be fun as well.

A man ahead of his time in my eyes. Still sad to think of his passing...

I'm curious how much some of these watches are going to end up selling for.

One of the pieces of art is outstanding. "Eat, Pray, Get the F*** Out". I imagine many of us share that sentiment with some dinner guests.
