Rolex Box Size
Random Question, I've just bought a 1994 "S" Serial Sub Date... (Birth Year)
Looking at the box size of the Sub Date and my 2018 Milgauss together and the difference is massive! When did Rolex stop using the smallest boxes I've ever seen?! |

That plastic wrapper really accentuates the case.

The new Sub box is also smaller than a Milgauss.

What size box did you get? The small green one? Lovely watch you have there by the way.

Don't you need some kind of protector to prevent damage to the plastic wrapper?

People used that case as a cigarette or small cigar desk top case back in the day...had the wood interior,,,,,much nicer box than the plastic crap they offer now.

If we are mainly talking about the SS watches all solid precious metal and TT watches MAY come in different boxes to the SS.One thing is for sure there is no real correct boxes for the SS models you will get whatever the AD has in store at point of sale. Now the DSSD mostly comes in the large box but this is not always the case one thing is for sure you will get one of either of these.

Those cushion top wooden boxes were very cool. My father has a SWISS only 1998 16610 and the box has the velvet C ring mounting inside. Don't sweat it. Nice Subby!

Any clarity on this would be appreciated - My 2016 116610LN plastic tag has Oyster S printed on it but my box is Oyster M. I’m guessing the AD just gave the larger box? I have actually seen some Subs for sale with Oyster M on their tags.
Is this a usual thing and just refers to the recommended box size? |
