Great night

As mentioned in an earlier post I was trying to purchase a sub c and they offered me an sd 43. Although a beautiful watch I felt it was to big on me. We left disappointed but decided to go back the next night to look at the sd again. I explained to the Ad that we were commemorating our 10 year anniversary and would be purchasing 2 watches. At that point the Ad goes in the back and comes out with a sub c date and my wife got a Datejust. As you can imagine I was ecstatic. These stories really do happen , what an unbelievable night !

Interesting.

So they view the Sub C as more coveted than the SD43.

Maybe he just believed your story and wanted to be kind.
Your AD has no problem to sell a Sub nor a DJ. Everyday of the week, easy.
Feel fortunate for the favour he did you instead of spinning it around

Yep all the steel sports are in the back, ALWAYS.

You opened your wallet and got them to bring one out. Pay to play.

Enjoy them brother.

Congrats on the pickup. But like others have said, this is kind of exactly what's wrong with Rolex ADs these days.

Hmmmm I wonder what an AD would do if in that instance you pay the one you really like first with one credit card and then pay the other with a different credit card that you know wouldn’t go through(low balance or a closed one).

Would they let you keep the one you paid for already?

Again, Congrats on the Anniv!

Fantastic that it worked out and congrats on the anniversary

AD sounds like a bit off a douche to me, as he was obviously not prepared to sell you that watch, even though he had it. Interesting that he values the Sub higher than the SD
