Don't have it here. Blue dials are king imo.
Black and white--boring.
Other colours can look odd and date quickly. Unless we're talking ROOs.

So it's blue or skeleton for me at the moment I guess.

So someone mentions you don't have to spend big bucks to get a nice blue watch and you decide to post a photo of four expensive blue dial watches. Maybe something was lost in translation...

So a pic of blue watches in a blue watch thread doesn’t work for you

Nothing wrong with your photo as a stand alone post. In the context of someone posting a lovely Seiko and saying you don't need to spend a lot of money your post was completely out of context.

I was thinking the same thing, but considering you can't justify replying the way you did to the original post it is pretty obvious what your intent was.

Blue dial fatigue

I see your 4 and raise you.....9 blues that I have owned over the past year. Beautiful blues from all brands at all price points. The Seiko Presage Shippo Enamel is gorgeous as are the grand Seikos, Pateks, APs, and Journe.

Top photo is a year ago and bottom is about a month ago.

Love blue but a little fatigued

@ap1: I think as @TJMike said, maybe something did in fact get lost in translation...for the record, I did not find your reply to my Alpinist Blue pic in any way snarky or smart-assed. I can see how it might have been interpreted as such, but speaking for myself, I did not see it that way.

So how about if we just chalk this one up to "lost in translation" for all parties involved. I appreciate everyone's comments on this, I don't think anyone that commented here had bad intent or anything like that. Just a minor "lost in translation" moment, that's all. Thanks to everyone who commented, it's always nice to have a dialog among the forum members.

I simply took @ap1's reply in the spirit in which it was probably meant: you posted pics of your nice blue dials. The fact that they are high-end watches is neither here nor there - I interpreted the main point to be that they were posted as examples of particularly nice blue dials, not just expensive watches, since the thread is about blue dials (irrespective of price tag).

BTW, that's a 5170P sitting next to your Panerai, right? Now there's a really nice blue dial for sure. You're a lucky man to own that one.

Cheers everybody...I don't think harm was intended, and certainly no harm was done. Let's enjoy and share our cool blue watches, it's all good.

and there you have it. The OP took my post exactly as intended. If I had a blue swatch I would have included it. All is good again. Love the forum

I was about to comment that the "N" was misaligned and then I realized...that's a mo'fo compass! Damn I gotta get one of these (may green since I am fatigued).

Anyway, I need that red N to line up with the 12.

Please inform me when this is complete. Thanks (I am half joking and half serious).

I do. I was actually initially thinking it was a magnetic compass and would move around (wouldn't that be cool!); then I saw a youtube video you gotta use the sun and then adjust it which was still cool but not as cool as one suspended in fluid and moving along.

I can state with certainty that I wasn't using the compass because I don't even know how to use the damn thing! You can rotate it on the 4:00, which apparently I should learn how to do :-). All those years of schooling I went through...all for nothing!

Truth be told, the compass is a rather cheesy and useless feature - but it looks sooooooo cool, and that's all that really matters :-).

@bearxj86: I hope you manage to get an Alpinist Blue, it's a keeper. Cheers,

Cause the AC, PCC chrono, split seconds or a gold, platinum or lumen dial is useful lol. A few of those look as cheesy lol
