An honest description of the psychological change we go through in buying once unloved watches. The Hulk and Daytona were both unloved by many people (many, not all) on this very forum yet they transformed into darlings of the watch world. So too may the Lange turn into a princess.

The best designed sport metal bracelet is
1) Rolex Daydate President
2) Audemars Piguet Royal Oak
3) Patek Phillipe Nautilus

A Lange made nice design too, but too early to tell how it will perform in next 10 years.

But from price point it shows Nautilus is most expensive then the Royal Oak , and Daydate is the cheapest amongst the 3.
Often people view higher price signal better quality.

It reminds me of Emperor's New Clothes...the emperor wants the best and most expensive new clothes and it is invisible.

I first looked at it and was like "meh". A week later I was like "I kinda like it" and then I pulled this thread this morning and was like "meh" again.

Maybe after a few cycles I will decide :)

Interesting that no one has piped up to defend the most famous watch bracelet of all: the Oyster.

The Daydate President design is similar to Diamond Python design found in Java; the Royal Oak design similar to the Anaconda Snakes pattern found in Amazon Argentina while the Nautilus design similar to the Rock Blood Python snake pattern scales found in Thailand / Vietnam.
The bracelet shines when it moves around just like the snakes. You have to view the snakes while swimming in water and you see exactly what I mean.

You can verify if the design was originated from snake pattern, the designer still alive.

The oyster looks nice but lacks sophistication. A Lange designs looks like Indian Cobra snakes that listen to music and dance. The cobra pattern do not produce shines as much as the scales are small; but it is still exotic design.

Cobra will dance if you give him the right music, he can be venomous and deadly when feel threatened.

I love the snake references. You Aussies are blessed when it comes to snakes.

Hey, can we hijack this thread and talk about snakes? At least as interesting as watches. Fun Fact: did you know that snakes can't hear? They have no ears. The snake charmer, playing the flute, moves back and forth and the cobra follows his movements. The music is for the folks watching.
