WARNING: the DSSD will ruin your other watches!

I wore my old watch the other day for the first time since acquiring my DSSD. It felt like I had a replica of a watch on my wrist - the weight difference was so substantial and I immediately wanted to drive back home and put my DeepSea back on! Need to really keep this in mind with any potential future watch purchases.

I agree! Every time I go from my DSSD to any of my other watches I feel that the DSSD isn't big at all - the rest is too damn small!

Exactly! That's why my DSSD has become my daily. When I put it on in the morning there is a connection that I just don't feel with my other watches.

I was in Zurich recently and had to get some medical treatment for a flu - the positive part of the experience (other than the amazing Swiss health care system) was that the Doctor also had a DSSD Black dial and he said the exact same thing - it just has a presence on the wrist so that you know it is there even though it's completely comfortable to wear.

Exactly how I feel now. I saw someone wearing a sub at the Apple store and I thought wow that thing looks so much slimmer and smaller now, haha my perspective is totally ruined!

Would not trade or sell my DSSD for anything!

In Rolex terms, it can indeed tend to push the others aside a bit.
At least that's how it played out for me. After the arrival of the DSSD in my life all the other Rolex watches were redundant so had to go to happier homes

I hadn't worn my SS Daytona in a quite some time and when I recently wore it I could not believe how small and light it felt.

Reading this thread made me laugh,

So true after I wear my dssd for a day or two it ruins my subs / omegas .

That said I do have a soft spot for my hulk!

DSSD and Omega Ti PO chrono are my favorites. When I want a small "dress" watch, I go with the SD43:)

Just joined the club!!! The more I look at it the less it looks big. On another note, I have seen the rubber b band but mostly it’s black. Anyone have another colour they can share how it looks? Is there another band rubber or leather you guys would reccomend?

Thanks Gerry62, I got lucky this time. I walked into an AD after dropping my kid at a birthday party and had an hour to kill. It was just sitting in the display. Even wore it to sleep last night hahaha

Can I join the DSSD club please? I just bought a JC DSSD and love it!

I much prefer it to the sub I previously had. Once I got used to it after the first few hours I can't imagine wearing anything else - it's reassuringly solid and weighty!

Quick question will I be safe getting it wet in the shower?

Took her down, first time

But uploading photos of my first dive to this site is more calories than I wish to burn. Such a pain. too large, trim. File greater than 987k, reduce.

Forget it

However- although I did not get down to 12800ft, was a joy to wear it on my dive.

I've posted pictures of mine on a red Rubber B strap previously; if you search my username for posts within this thread you should find it

Just a heads up, Hamilton jewelers in Princeton has a black dial deep sea. I know they aren’t too difficult to get but just in case someone is searching. Ask for Angie
