Icon14 Need a Wallet -

Have been using the same wallet for at least 7-8 years - it's held up well but starting to show it's age .

I've seen older thread on subject but didn't see anything with a similar configuration

I am pretty picky about design - but nothing fancy -
Bifold about 4.25 " X 3.5" folded - rides in back pocket , bill slots -[ 2] like to separate large bills from small. some slots for credit cards etc and pockets under the slots

picture is of current wallet Polo by Ralph lauren this was probably $ 40 quite a bargain considering life span - I'd be willing to spend a few hundred for a high quality leather wallet - again nothing too fancy or loaded with logos

Photobucket is screwed up but Louis Vuitton has an epi leather wallet that is superb. Very subdued.

Recently bought a Tumi

Was amazed at all the stuff I was carrying around that I simply did not need.

These Shell Cordovan wallets will last you a lifetime, literally.

https://ashlandleather.com/collectio...hiskey-reverse

They offer different sizes from minimalist to full passport size in different colours and even leather choices. I have six of them to go with different attire but quite frankly you'll only ever need one.

My personal favorite is the Fat Herbie as it stays quite flat regardless of how many cards I stuff into it. And since I mostly wear jeans the size is not an issue. For slacks though I think the Johnny is probably an easier fit.

Buy a wallet that blocks chip readers and scanners. They’re on amazon. RFID wallets.

If you’re not carrying too many cards / notes switch to money clip instead. Could never go back to carrying a wallet again.

Buffway Slim RFID Wallet $12.99

Something exactly like this. I can understand spending good money on good leather shoes, leather bags, leather jackets, but for a wallet? All I need is for 5-6 cards and a few bills to fit in my left front pants pocket without a bulge. The Amex Platinum doesn't process any better or worse when it comes out of this or a Louis Vuitton, so I'd rather spend the difference elsewhere.

This is my rfid .. I’ve had it for a year and it looks new now. It’s funny TSA make me open it after scans... I guess the xrays etc can’t penetrate it in airports.

In have the Bugs Moran from Ashland. Slightly smaller than the Fat Herbie. Very good quality.

Yep. And the construction is simplistic so nothing to distract from the natural charm of the Shell itself.

Here's my 3 year-old #8 Herbie with reverse interior and a Louis in all reverse #8. Gotta love that patina if you appreciate good leather.

Saddleback is a great company, with great products. That’s my choice and I own a few. They only get better looking with age.

My wife got me an LV epi leather and it showed signs of wear (seam peeling) in less than 6 mos. I’ll never get another one. Though, the leather and design are nice.
