I love the watch. Before the price hike I was on the fence between the Hulk and BLNR. This was when the hulk could be had lightly used for like 7-7.5k. Should’ve bought both

Love the watch and that thermometer. Makes life with a young kid so much easier!

This is the same discussion that was had back before the high demand era. The LVc did not sell as well and wasn't as popular. It had fans and those fans were boisterous but otherwise it wasn't a hot seller. It could easily be found in display cases sitting.

I will say that this watch looks ten times better than in photographs. I didn't like it as much either, until I walked into Tourneau in NYC(2015) and they had it on display. It was stunning.

A few months later I called DSW and bought it $1k off msrp. A year later I sold it for a BLNR. After everyone started speculating it would be discontinued it became popular, it's easy for demand to be high on this one, it's production numbers have always been less than the black.

^^^^This is pretty much the story of the LVc^^^^^. Most of us purchased this unloved model below msrp.
At the time the BLNR was by far the favorite new model you could actually purchase. Even the BLNR could be had at a discount through our trusted sellers. The discussion was always BLNR or LVC when the LVC started to get popular. This was a time when what the forum thought about a particular model or its resale value was 14th down on the list of anyone caring.

Just think, we even paid less that this just 3 years ago and it’s the exact same watch and movement selling today.

I like the hulk because I’m sick of black and white dials. So boring, it’s all you see. But on a Rolex sports watch if you don’t get PM those are your only choices now, except the hulk. I’d prefer a blue dial SubC in SS, but they are only available in white gold (talk about a premium!). I own a white dial DJ and a black dial Coke. How do I get a color dial SS Rolex sports watch? Hulk. (And to be honest, I like the green color, it looks stunning in person. Just kinda too flashy for me. But I’m on the list for one anyway, because I need some color in my collection).

I bought my LVc in 2012 when they were readily available in AD windows and only because I already had a Deepsea and didn't want another black bezel diver. I've had a love - hate relationship with it ever since. When it comes into rotation I remember just how mesmerising the dial is and how in most lighting conditions it's actually not that in your face.......

I'm actually very happy with it in my collection and it will definitely be staying.
