Mix and Match Bands

I’m a very fickle purchaser, I change my mind like the wind, but AP UK know that and have been great at humouring me!
I had decided on a ROO PT, having read a number of posts on here and having picked AshAP’s brains, but there was always a lingering doubt in my mind as to its weight and wearability. I’ve worn ROO Gold Tourb for several years and then most recently a Summer Edition and they are both magnificent beasts, but heavy.
In the end, after deciding I needed a lighter weight model, I went the ROO Camo. (That was at the second attempt, having reserved one, then decided to let it go and then reserved a second one.)
All in all a good decision for me as it wears considerably lighter and more comfortably to my taste as an everyday sports watch.
We’ve all seen the Camo pics (I’m not convinced as to how often I’ll use the Camo strap) but I hadn’t seen any option blue strap pics. So here you go:

I also already owned the white strap which is perfect for this watch and a combo that will get a lot of summer time:

Thanks to AshAP for putting me onto O&R for straps, I bought my wife a white strap for one of her ROO’s and a red one for me:

And last but not least, my favourite and most discreet combo that will get a LOT of wrist time:

This is why I love AP, one watch, many looks.
p.s.
The blue/red combo works as does the blue/white but I couldn’t be bothered to actually put them on the watch to try.
p.p.s.
Red is a great colour on its own to hide the blood from when you stab yourself with a tiny screwdriver!
p.p.p.s.
White not so good for hiding blood stains...

Great choice Gary, I tried this one on when we were both at Gleneagles and it’s stunning. I agree on the versatility of these watches too, it’s almost like having a new watch each time you change the strap.

It's by no means in the same league at your PT, but for my everyday needs it fits. That said, it won't dress up, as the PT will, and as such it needs a little brother RO for dressier days...waiting patiently...

I’m not so sure, AP will make you a custom made strap. An Alligator carefully colour matched to the blue bezel/dial could be a real winner. Owen & Robinson have always been very good at ordering these for me and getting the colour right.

You need to PM me those sort of thoughts. This is a public forum, ANYONE (my wife) can read these comments! So, I'm sure you're mistaken and the camo is a sports watch only and needs a RO little brother for dressier days...

Well done, looks like lots of fun and I'd wear the camo, that is actually my fav one, plus the last one with the red and white and blue is too Frenchy so a big no, esp after Jan.

I can't unsee that now :) But I reject your reality and substitute my own and consider it a patriotic nod to the Union Jack.

I like the camo strap and it's way nicer in the flesh, but I'm just not sure about it, maybe in time it will grow on me.

Just as an FYI, it appears that each camo strap is unique. When I collected mine I compared it to the demo model and the straps are totally different in their colour dispersions.

Damn you AK797,
So here’s the red blue combo that I couldn’t be bothered to put on the watch earlier. I might play with that combo for a while given that you’ve ruined the red/white combo :)

Congrats on the purchases. Watch and straps !
So far I have black, blue, red and white myself to go on my Pt44. Will also likely add the yellow....
Would also like the camo but I have plenty already, I think.....!
It becomes too addictive.
As Ash mentions the 44’s are very versatile and the new strap colours really refreshes them.

The idea of different straps on one watch is pretty cool, not something I've thought of doing before, I have the camo for my RG and really like it, Ash's blue one looks great too. I wonder if I went to AP house and asked them to put a half and half on would they do it?

Of course they will, £600 please! One free opposite set for the drawer.

Which colours? I think the tan/brown option strap that comes with the camo RG would work great with white or even red, sort of Jekyll & Hyde.

Or brown camo and blue camo? The permutations are endless and the only reason not to combine colours is if someone comes along and makes a comment on a forum that spoils it for you, lol.

One final combo, blue and white:

No more permutations available from the solid colours that I have.

I saw the AD do the change and wanted to stab my self. The boutiques seem to do it a bit faster...
