5167 Bracelet 1.5 link

I recently got a new 5167 on a bracelet. When I sized it I found that 3 links out was too tight but 2 now leaves about 1.5 in of slide up and down the wrist. I came from a rubber strap 5167 that fit more snug and I’m a bit bothered by the looseness. I vaguely remember someone in an old thread talk about a 1.5 link. Does anyone know if that or a half link exists for purchase?

Yes it does. Your AD can order. It’s a 1.5 link. I want to say it’s around $275

Yes there is a 1.5 link. You need not purchase if you buy the watch from AD, as they will replace it with a normal link free for you. However, if you have owned the watch for some time, they will assess the condition of your existing link. If it is scratched up, then they will not change it with a free 1.5 link for you. You will have to buy the 1.5 link instead.

If you get one post a picture. I don’t think they exist. I had that watch on bracelet and asked the AD I bought it from to get me one. They never did. But that same AD did what Ichiran said they would do, got me one free of charge for a 5711 I bought from them. Call HSWA in NYC and ask if it exists.

Yes they exist. About $225 all in. Make sure you have the correct Bergeron tool or have an AD do it.

Just out of curiosity what’s your all preference on fit? This is my first bracelet watch so still not sure if I like movement or not.

Excellent. I guess my AD was uninformed or lazy or both.

From your picture it looks too loose. If you can get the 1.5 link do it. You don’t want it sliding up and down your arm.

SL Brabus and myself have posted pics of the 1.5 link previously. Here's mine:
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...anaut+bracelet

If it is mint, your Patek agent should be able to change for you FOC.

That is correct......^^^......

Recap of my post and information at to bottom......

...^^^.... Top pictures....Thanks to brother Michael aka Ichiran & brother Carlos aka watchtabs for taking the time to take the picture of the 1.5 link before I order it....

In my opinion the 1.5 link make a different regarding wearing the watch, which make it wear even more comfortable..... Not loose and not tight but just perfect......

The best part is the look..... You could not even tell where the 1.5 link is install, unlike the Nautilus 1.5 link......

Bottom pictures is the part number for the 1.5 link.... If you need it.....

As a comparison left side is the 1.5 link measurement at 20mm VS right side stock link at 15mm....

Hopefully this information help for the 5167 owner.......

Pin part number....^^^....

Tube part number....^^^.....

$20 for the pin

$10 for the tube

$15 for shipping.....

Lucky my AD order those parts free of charge.....

OR

You could go with the substitute pin and tube provide by Esslinger Watchermakers parts tools & supply....

https://www.esslinger.com/watch-band...in-assortment/

My watchmaker advice to buy it from here....^^^.... Same quality as OEM Patek Philippe parts for $1.25 each....

Make sure you buy the 1mm pin.... The length is 30mm long... You will need to cut it to 20.40mm by using a Dremel....

https://www.esslinger.com/watch-band...nd-assortment/

As for the tube is only $1.10 each...

For the tube make sure you buy the 1.30mm.... You don't need to cut them....

I am not affiliated with the seller in anyway , just here to help out if you ever need those parts....

Yes I should have given SL Brabus credit but I didn’t remember where I originally had the information on my note. It was helpful to pass on to my AD for my 1.5 link.

I was in the exact same situation as you with my 5711. The 1.5 link is absolutely the perfect fit and my AD ordered it at no additional charge for me.

what's interesting about the 1.5 link is that it doesn't measure exactly 1.5, i want to say it's more like 1.2 or 1.3, which allows you to get really creative and exact when fitting. this was a long time ago though, they may have changed the jumbo links. i believe i used two 1.5's to find the perfect fit. two 1.5's being not equal to 3 standard links. we always called the 5167 big links jumbo links.
