Best watch on Leather

Hi all,

Is it still possible to source an OEM leather band for the oysterflex Daytona models?

I really loved the look of the previous model with the leather strap but this is not an offering that Rolex currently makes.

I find the skydweller too big for my wrist and haven't explored other brands but am open to suggestions.

Any and all ideas appreciated

Thanks TRF fam

Not sure about OEM but there are 100’s of high quality aftermarket sellers of leather watch straps all over. Several here on TRF classifieds. Who cares if the underside of the strap has “Rolex” embossed on it? I wouldn’t anyway when it comes to a consumable item that wasn’t OEM to begin with.

That being said, google is your friend. Would contact an AD or two and inquire if they could order one as well as EBay.

Good luck.

Check out Combat Straps website and IG feed. I'm pretty sure the owner Aaron owns an Oysterflex Daytona as he frequently posts new exotic straps on one. He can make you a full custom out of anything you can imagine.

Do people even bother to read what the OP requested or wrote before replying to a thread?

If only! My budget would have to stretch a little bit (ok a lotta bit) in order to make that happen.

Absolute Beauty! And it shares a racing heritage with the Daytona.

Great suggestion! I do find that the DD36 does wear a little small on my wrist though.

I have not reached out to RSC yet. Was just curious if someone here had any experience or had done something similar

I’ll probably pick up a leather strap for my Daytona I got at Christmas. But for now, my Monaco is my strap watch. It has the OEM deployment and (most importantly) quick release spring bars that make strap changing a breeze!

Here is my Monaco in Monaco this past August

His thread title was much more “click-bait” (best watch on leather) than his actual substantive post (something about late model Daytonas and too-big Skydwellers).

Folks probably clicked here thinking they’d see 1016s, 5513s, 14060s, Speedy Pros, and etc...
