Legit Check SeaDweller

Hey TRF,

I have a close friend that is in Milan, and just purchased a Sea Dweller from a third party jeweler.

I am skeptical of its authenticity, as the Sea Dweller I have is the 50th anniversary, and the only red script on the dial says Sea Dweller...

Have never seen one that has “Deep Sea” written in red.

Thoughts?

Its a rare sea slug model. Hope the jeweler has a good return policy.
And what is up with all the crappy photography. No excuse in this day and age

I bet it has a ETA 2836-2 movement

Well it looks like crap so I'm pretty sure it's a bad fake.

Can we get something other than a hand drawn sketch?

Is this a screen capture of Facetime or a video or something? We live in a world where high quality cameras are in everyone's pocket, yet whenever someone asks for an authentication it's like Bigfoot pictures.

The watch is not an authentic Rolex.

Posting such a bad photo and asking for opinions of it should be a crime.

Please insist that your close friend in Milan names the jeweller.

Then tell us here the name of a jeweller in Milan whom we might wish to avoid.

Always , always and again I say always do your research when
buying something significant in value .
Unless money is like toilet paper to the respective buyer.

It's a bad fake... like others have stated already.

The red text, the awful font and the fact the date appears to be changing at 8:26, are the first things that jump out at me. All that said, even if it were real, 12k is way high.

A fool and his money are easily parted.

Hopefully it was purchased via card and he can get a refund... I'd be surprised if anyone in your friends circle would use anything other than a card after your "authenticwatches" fiasco.
