Baby steps before you know it you'll be chugging Lagavulin and Ardbeg

Dusty Kentucky blended whiskey for not much more than what Kessler currently costs? Why the heck not!

500s have bottle dates from 1978 thru ‘80, 1L is ‘81 and 750s are ‘83.

I'm a big Lagavulin fan as well and is one of my go to drinks when my single malt buddies come over.

This is one of my special bottles that I'm saving for a very special occasion:

And since it's Friday I'm about to pour some of this:

That used to be a daily dram of mine at $169. At $225 I said goodbye.
Now they’re looking at $299+ MSRP and the cheapest bottle online is $699.
Crazy. It’s a damned good dram though. Not $699 good, but good enough for me to shell out for a bunch of bottles.
Tonight’s dram is ... the Caribbean Cask from a few posts up. Another solid whisky, with a few drops of water.

Now that is a great line up. My favourite choice would be the springbank. Amazing value for money.

I figure if I’m going to be isolating at home, I might as well be drinking the good stuff.

My current go-to is a bottle of the Cask Strength I brought back from a recent visit to this little distillery.

Take the Auchentoshan, Hibiki, Ardbeg and the Lagavulin. Great choices there. Enjoy them
