2 time zones are sufficient. Before this virus, I crossed time zones every week and the painted hand on home time was always useful. It’s a simple and useful complication.

The explorer II has a 24 hour hand that reads home time as it aligns w the fixed bezel. On newer models the 12 hour hand is independently adjustable vs the original GMT designs that depended on the rotating bezel to indicate the second time zone.

I got it now. You’d rather have an Explorer II than a GMT-Master 6542, 1675, 16750, or 16700. Makes sense!

I would also prefer a rotating bezel, as it's easier to rotate the bezel for a new timezone than having to unscrew the crown and adjust the hour hand, but can see the advantage of fixed. |
