I have a BB58 on leather strap. It is a great watch, and although the leather seems to be of very good quality, I do not find the strap comfortable at all with the off centre clasp.

I faced the same decision and went with the BB58, although the choice was difficult.
As i compared the two choices the BB58 has a new in house movement with 70 hour power reserve, versus the older Rolex 3132 movement with 48 hour reserve. The DateJust models updated to the newer 70 hour reserve, and I'd expect the OP to do the same very soon. I thought this might have been the year for the new movement, but COVID may postpone it until 2021. I decided that the newer and longer power reserve Tudor movement, coupled with a useful bezel timing ring, matched my needs better than the OP. Also thought that the OP39 white dial is very attractive, but there is a lack of contrast that makes reading the time at a glance a bit hit or miss. Some think the rose accents on the BB58 are "overdone", but in daily wear I disagree. Sometimes the rose color is very evident, other times in different light far less so. The "dull" black dial face also reacts to the light in different ways - I've not seen many reviews mention this. Either way you will have a fine watch. The OP may dress up a bit better, and has the Rolex crown, but the BB58 works well too. I also was concerned that the OP polished bezel would be more prone to nicks/scratches over time. The BB may also be affected, but on a "diver" watch minor nicks are less or a concern. Buy either and enjoy. |

Think the BB58 would work best for what you’re looking for.

Both watches are awesome but I will certainly go with the OP39.

BB58 is probably a solid option as most non-WIS will not know about Tudor. Otherwise just get an inexpensive Seiko to wear during work hours. |

The OP is objectively a much nicer watch.
