The Sheen

Does anyone else like the sheen or luster that SS watches get after 10-15 years of wear ?

Yes!

I love the worn in look all watches of all metals get after many years of use.

Love picking up new watches but they look so clinical and that, if I’m honest drives me crazy until they wear in,

I’m looking forward to the original finish on my YG Daytona being restored when it goes in for service. It’s 20 years old and looks great but definitely developed that sheen and could again I guess?!

I think Yellow and Rose Gold lose some luster to my eye and deserve a buffing. The scratches that PCLs attract on any bracelet also catch one’s gaze and having them properly polished makes sense.

Me too, I wish there was a way to speed up the process of getting the sheen, lol!

The watch is basically being "polished" over time wearing down the factory brushed finish. To answer your question I think it looks fine on older SS models but not on PMs
