Need help with 6694 oysterdate
A friend bought an old oysterdate 6694 manual wind. To make a painful
Story short, I sent it to a friend of mine who thought he could service it. He couldn’t, sent it back to me in 10,000 pieces. I felt lousy about how it all played out, so paid my friend his investment into The watch. Now I have a watch in a bunch of pieces and not quite sure where to then next. I’m open to some suggestions and/or recommendations for a watch maker here on TRF. Prior to disassembly, the crown would screw in. The watch would Run briefly, but couldn’t keep time. Feel free to chime in! Thanks Noah |

I would expect that a competent watchmaker would know how it goes back together.
The problem may be finding one who will accept a basket-case. Give Rik Dietel at Time Care Inc a call down in FLA; he seems like a nice guy and might have some direction for you.
