Seiko Prospex SPB143 / SBDC101
Fellow watch people I highly recommend these new Seiko’s. This watch will be a great beater and travel watch (whenever that happens again).
Proportions are magnificent, has all the Seiko DNA of a 007 or 009 but more refined. I went with the simple dial more like the original diver it was born from. Looks cool in the sun and shade! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Congratulations! Awesome watch. Enjoy. Kinda expensive for a "beater" if you ask me!
I have a deposit on a SP145. Just waiting for the call.

Agreed it is expensive for a beater and I will treat it kindly. I tell you what, after having it on wrist for a day it certainly doesn't feel like a beater |

How is bracelet? Seems like the first thing we do with seiko is change to another strap option, myself included

HOWEVER, this one so far seems not too bad. I prefer it on a NATO but plan try this one a bit. |

Your new Seiko brings a lot of great elements together on it's own. Classic design, modern construction, and all at a great price allow both brands to shine. dP

Congratz! Sofar I have been able to keep my core collection to a minimum, not counting under 300 dollar watches but this one really tempts me!
Next time I go to Japan, I will have a look in person and high likely I will cave in as soon I'm touching it. ps. I also saw the black/brown gilt, oh boy I'm in trouble...I can't decide between the grey or the brown gilt one, I like them both! |
