Best Wife Ever, Anyone Else's Wife....

As a timepiece enthusiast, I must have found the perfect Muse / wife. She points out watches and knowns the brands when we watch TV / movies. Yeah, she's a keeper

Anyone else's wife point out watches during TV and movies?

Nope. I do catch mine staring at my watch occasionally though. Don’t know if it’s admiration or disgust....

She understands the hobby and can even identify watches on tv or irl but she's not really interested.

Just asked... disgusted it is. To a point where I just got reamed for 10 minutes. Chris Rock said it best. “You cannot win an argument with a woman, cause men have a need to make sense”.

She knows what looks like “Rolex” but that’s about it. Helps when I want to pick up a new one without explanation (or permission for you non-hand guys), blends right I with the rest of the collection.

Mine gets it. MrsDonkeys first tolerated it, then enjoyed it as I bought pieces for her, and recently jumped into buying with a Nomos Ahoi. She's figured out her style. She watches Watchbox videos on YouTube with me, and is increasingly digging into my watchbox to borrow things.

Yep! My Wife does all the time and she says you need one of those too. True Love! However, that might mean she wants a new one as well.

Same with mine.

Double edged sword though.

Because she wants them too. It gets expensive.

Yep, I created the monster within....thankfully, she appreciates and respects the watches, but still fancies shoes and purses more.

Yes, thankfully! She prefers jewelry over watches. That said, I still want to get matching watches.

+1. Wanted to get my wife a second watch to go with her dj36...she’d rather have a Chanel bag. Works for me lol.

Bummer. One of my ex's was like that.

Did I mention she's an ex.

Yup! Mine saw a Reverso in a TV show and said we should get one at some point. Guess it'll go along with our Cartier Tank XL I got her for Valentines Day.

Absolutely. I blame her for getting me into this hobby. She won’t let me leave the AD without buying another watch. Such an enabler...

She wants me to buy another, always showing me watch advertisements in the magazines. I say I have enough for now.

My wife is the best wife because she’s planning our sons development and providing for our sons future all at once. Super mom.

My wife has learned from my collecting. She can spot a Rolex, Cartier, AP, or Patek Nautilus on another person. She will always go to watch shops with me, look at the watches, and ask questions. When we were getting married she gave me an Explorer II as a wedding gift. She has also given me a Kermit Sub as a birthday gift, and and a Royal Oak as a 10th anniversary gift.

Oh and she refuses to wear a quartz watch. She doesn't consider them as having a real movement, even though I have owned an Oysterquartz.
