I suppose it depends on what model you like more than any, if you just went ahead and bought one becouse of suggestions based on what others like you may end up not being completely satisfied.

TT Datejust

It has steel, it has gold, it has a date for those who need it, and it’s an oyster that will outlive you underwater.

YG DD, Sub Date or BLNR

Other options could be Pepsi, SD4k, SD43, SS DJ, or SS Daytona if you don't need the date function

I’ve had my share and the sub date has covered the most bases for me

If I could just choose one, I would probably choose a 116710LN. But since I don’t, I’ll probably never get it.

Why? It has GMT, date, AND if you really wanted to, you could ignore the GMT arrow and use the rotating bezel to track day of the week.

Also, out of all the color and flexibility options, the black dial and black bezel will work in the most situations.

Finally, I have to agree with the poster above that says it doesn’t matter, once you get one you’ll want more later LOL.

This, but I'd substitute BLRO for BLNR

Probably SkyD, it’s most robust. Great complications, great movement, can be dressed up or sported down.

How could I forget about the 5-digit bezel swap abilities. Plus the ability to go from jubilee to oyster as well. Can I change my answer? LOL.

If it's a dress watch then my vote is for a DD.

If it's a sport watch then I would go Submariner.

As most have mentioned, can’t go wrong with a sub date. On the other hand, an SD43 is pretty nice as well.

Submariner or BLRO/Pepsi.

The most significant, historical, and imitable.

The one currently on your wrist - not the one you would like to buy next.

Depends on what you like. I'd take a SS Sky Dweller. What do you like?

As a one watch only... I would say the explorer is the best option.

I'd keep my 16710. If buying new, DJ41 black dial, smooth/oyster. That's a GADA piece that would work well for me.

So many options... Are you looking for an ultimate no price limit watch, new, vintage, SS, PM, etc. etc.

It's really going to depend on your budget and what your style is. One person's only Rolex is different from the next...

Even with unlimited $$$ it would be a hard choice...

If I could only keep one of my current - BLNR

If I went Vintage - PN Daytona, MilSub, Comex, GMT.

If I went Current PM - Platinum Daytona, WG DD Green Roman dial, WG GMT BLRO

If I went current SS - BLNR or BLRO

If I went Dress watch - Cellini Moonphase
