It is likely counterfeit and made for those who wish to deceive others by filling it out to their liking.

It has likely been washed with acetone, which will remove any ball pen ink...

I don't have a problem with handwritten warranty docs. Not that uncommon. After all, it was just a piece of paper given to buyers explaining their warranty not unlike any other item sold by hundreds of manufacturers back then and now. I have a pretty extensive warranty paper library with many handwritten warranty papers. Below is sampling of some handwritten garanties.

Thinking out aloud, Imagine If you could match the watch owners to the paperwork you have in your collection.... you could be onto something here

Do you have every known variation?

If so, this is a pretty useful/important baseline reference library. Arguably as important as the Dial Archives at VRF.

Out of the millions of watches produced spanning the decades of production for these warranty papers, the odds of finding a matching watch are slim to none.

just my 2 cents worth:

I have an original 1970s blank warranty paper that came with my wife's ladies date rolex - completely blank never filled in.

I know its 100% legit because the previous owner was her mother who actually worked at a rolex boutique and didn't bother filling in the warranty paper when she sold it to herself (so to speak)

yes the paper is worth a lot on its own being blank I suppose, but it belongs to my wife's watch and we would never part them.

so it does happen...

Maybe those who have collected random papers could post them on here so that we might be able to see if any match watches in our collections?

Someone want to start a thread on it?

That’s a great idea. If someone had warranty certificate/papers the can post to see if there is a match. I know it’s a very long shot, still it would fun to look.
