change daytona dials

Hello, I have a Rolex Daytona 116519, as show below. I am interested to change the hands of the dial. As I am getting older it is challenging to tell the time in a dark environment so I would like to use something like illuminating submariner's hands or any other that its easier distinguish in dark

Suggest to change the dial as well
to another color with better contrast, like white, slver or blue

Well Rolex themselves do not make the watch hands a firm called Aiguilles makes all the watch hands for all models. And Rolex would only change to the hands that came originally with that reference watch.

Yes hands can be changed but has to another set from another model using the same caliber for it to work. Subs use a different caliber versus the Daytonas. Not sure what you are suggesting is possible (using sub hands) with some modifications but as said above there are other options to improve visibility within the Daytona models.

Looking ar your picture think your 116719 has the older skinnier hands, the newer ones have slightly wider hands with more lume and that should improve vissibility

thanks, checked the surgery but if I fixed shortsighted I will lose my far sight which is good, so I am relying to reading glasses and sometimes I am not wearing them and/or they are far from me and then I want to be able to tell the time using my Daytona

The value is in the model you have being OEM. If it does not work for you any more then sell it and find a watch that does. Or pick up a second watch that has larger markers that you can see better.

Had a Champagne dial 116523 replaced with a Panda White Arabic dial during service at Singapore RSC, was informed that cost of the swap included new matching hands.

If you are going the RSC route and keeping everything original, to get different hands you'll have to change dials.

A 116519 of this vintage would look great with some contrast to the black leather strap; the Panda White Arabic, or 'Spyder' dial.

Peter, good information. I was under the evidently wrong impression that Rolex did everything in house. What other components does Rolex obtain from outside vendors? Thanks for posting.
