Did I buy the wrong Daytona?

I'm in my thirties - was I 30 years too early buying a TT With Champagne Dial?

I assume you bought it because you like it, so why would it be the wrong watch?

A failed attempt at humor I guess.

I absolutely like it, it just seems that the general consensus is that TT's are usually for the older generation. Don't see many "younger" people with this combination.

Wanted to hear some thoughts on that

I see..

I’m thirty and own a few two tone including the same one with a diamond dial. Actually going to sell it today to make room for a tt sky dweller.

I think we'd do each other a favor with a straight trade between your Plat and this one.

The answer seems pretty obvious. Yes, you have doubts about it. Probably wasn’t the right watch for you.

Have to agree but to some today Rolex are no longer watches bought to be enjoyed, as Rolex watches are little more than $$$$$$$$$££££ value object things to many today..

That's actually both the first Daytona I've liked the look of and first two tone. I'm going to PM you and ask the price :)

Yeah, no!!! FWIW, I already own a TT but with the Slate dial which I think is a thing of beauty. To be truthful about your original question, although I'm not as much a fan of that dial it's not age related. It's a great watch and if I were you I'd wear it and enjoy it or trade for perhaps a different Daytona. You might try switching out the bracelet for a strap for a bit and see if that makes it feel a bit more youthful!!!

The kids like gold these days. My 24 and 21 yr old boys both wear a gold $5 Walmart watch even though I gave the older one my 1993 Sub date for his graduation gift.

Looks good.

Nope, I've seen a few rappers and sports stars on the TV with TT YM2, Bluesy and DJs etc so they are en vogue, gold and TT Daytonas are more on women tho I admit.

Seems that these days if it isn’t an SS piece, people question it. STOP! The watch is hot so rock it!!! And I’m in my late 30’s.

Yes. That is the grandpa version of a Daytona. If the dial was another combo of non- yellow gold colors with the same YG bracelet, that would make it middle aged at the most.

If you bought it because you like it great. If you bought it because it is the cheapest way into a Daytona not so great

I love it - but I am an old man. I discussed options with my son when he was 24. He preferred the tt Datejust over any of the SS models available. I gave him my tt DJ and he wars it with pride. I bought when I was 25 and wore it for 35+ years.

Wear it in good health.
