Panerai seen on Kevin Garnett in Crown Royal commercial.
I noticed yesterday during the football game.
Kevin Garnett wearing his ceramic Panerai. He wears the same Panerai in various Crown Royal commercials. https://youtu.be/xUjO65OdZGo |

I think that is a 335. A ceramic case Luminor very similar to a 233 am/pm. I would like to have one myself.

Nice trio! Mine are 368/317/338 From the perspective of the photo I did not realize that was 233... as I would have expected the 233 to look bigger than the black 335. I assume it’s angle of photo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I actually like how the 335 dial has a 9 on it. Appears more balanced to me than the 233 dial. It'd be ideal if the 335 dial also utilized a dot, rather than the am / pm.

as to a commonly considered question about the 335's thickness (given it has to store a rotor for automatic winding, vs the manual wind 233 and its ceramic counterpart-cousin 317)
[noting that these are not measurements I've personally taken] 233: 18mm thick (8 day gmt / manual wind) 335: 18.7mm (10 day gmt / auto) 317: 19.3mm (8 day gmt, single button chrono / manual wind) below - 335 on the left, 233 on the right. |

I used to love the idea of 317, now I have to rethink the idea because I didn't know it was close to 20mm thick

For whatever reason, I am shocked of the thickness of the 317. It really doesn’t wear that thick. I originally had the 233 and traded up for a 368 since I found myself wearing the 233 on the weekends and realized I didn’t need a date for that reason. I then bought a 317 to accompany my 368 and where it all time to work; maybe because it is black ceramic so it’s lighter and looks smaller. I would say the 317 is easier to tuck under a sleeve than the 368 but maybe that should surprise anyone Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I want to order rubber b strap for my 233.. comparing to the oem rubber strap is it comfortable than the oem one? The end part of the strap makes me think if it will be comfortable on my wrist or not.. will be glad to hear your opinions..

hi kaan - yes, my personal view is that the rubberb does feel more comfortable, vs the OEM rubber. It's also less "sticky" feeling. on my more recent OEM rubbers, sometimes sliding the end of the strap through the keeper is difficult. I've never had that issue with the rubberb, so from that point of view I've been happy.
overall, the fit and finish is well executed. |
