Congratulations -- I can't think of a better first Rolex to get than the 16570. It could be your one and only (and certainly supremely satisfying until you get your Sub). It checks off all your boxes, and I think it is one of the most well-rounded in existence. You done well -- wear in good health

Yes, congrats and welcome! But the "harmless addiction" -- fair warning -- can be a very expensive one.

Love that 5 digit Explorer2!
It’s a perfect first Rolex for you. Classy, useful, durable, it will always bring you joy! Excellent choice!!
Not sure why everyone saying that you should consider the Sub for your next... my second Rolex was the Pepsi 16750 (yes, that’s two watches with the same movement, but I really loved the functionality of the rotatable bezel)
In any case, don’t feel embarrassed ever. As stated above, no one really notices would watch you’re wearing, and the <1% of people who do, just think it’s a pretty watch. Have fun, amigo!!! Life is too short, to be wasting time.
There’s an old saying amongst watch collectors: “Either you start with Rolex, or you come back to it”.
BIG congratulations on joining the club!!

That's amazing isn't it? That was the first thing I noticed after getting my first Rolex. I figured that people would be constantly saying "is THAT a ROLEX?" but they hardly ever do. I guess most common folks don't recognize the shapes but we sure as hell do. I can spot a Rolex submariner from 20 ft away... I can easily spot them on tv if some celeb or other famous person happens to be wearing one. That's because we recognize the shape of the watch first. Very few people have ever recognized mine on the wrist and I think that's a good thing, as it cuts down on theft...

You got it! I put mine on a Nato to make it even more inconspicuous. =)

That was my 1st Rolex and still my favorite. One of the most comfortable watches I’ve worn imo. Congrats

They are wonderful watches. You will indeed fly under the radar with it. Not many people ever comment or even know its a Rolex. I chose a Polar but as you can see, it is well worn and has been with me a long time. Might be time for a spa treatment but who's to say. Congrats and welcome to the club!

Thanks everyone. I have really enjoyed wearing it the past few days. It has me rethinking my collection for sure. Time to decide if I wait and save a while to add my next Rolex or sell a watch or two to fund a purchase sooner.
