Yah seems in line with current market and I agree. When it got to around 60 a flood of CB came onto chrono24, now we’re down to last two and one is from Zimbabwe! I saw 4 trade in Singapore around 60 too over last 3 months (not on chrono24), now 2 left listed around 70 too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Not to be dark - but I expected this price if Journe passed or the CB for discontinued, and we’ve reached there without either happening. Of course CB gains are child’s play compared to the other models - I regret passing a steel calandrier in favour of my CB because it was a chunk more at the time... Sotheby’s just listed the steel box set individually (even the box is a separate item ...) and I don’t wanna see where that comes in ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If people pay 100-120K for something like a 5711.
At least 120 K would be fair for a CB Crazy prices I agree ... but between these 2 the Journe is much more special and 15 time more rare. So I won't say the 5711 is a + 100K watch... but if this is the market today ... the Journe CB should imo be more expensive

While I agree that the CB should be priced comparatively vs the 5711, I don’t agree on the factor. There are ~2k CB out there and probably 15k 5711 blue. I guess the big price jump will come after the official discontinuation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Someone on another site reported that FPJ's entire production run for 2022 is sold. He likely heard that from a boutique. If true, it's very interesting.

Well, when even the most useless cryptocurrencies are up +80% in the past week, it's hard not to see all other assets as bubbles.

If people are really crazy over the amazing color of the dial of the CB, and I agree it is amazing, why not get the VC overseas blue dial which is said to be made in same place as the CB, and is half the price and can pas as a dress watch On The leather strap.

One thing we can all agree on is the relative rarity of the CB compared to other “in demand” watches. In the current environment it appears prices will continue to climb. Should a discontinuation ever happen it could likely result in a $100K+ market price, which would be bittersweet because I’d become much more reluctant to wear mine as much as I do now, and it’s my favorite watch to wear.

However, not far into 2019 it was reported that the list had grown to 5+years and FPJ's editorial said they were cutting off the list AND they were going to approx halve the annual production from ~190 a year to ~100 a year to be able to give production capacity for other models. So my 4 years would become 8 years. That would put me at late 2026 to get one, assuming they maintain the list and keep producing it until it's fully satisfied. FPJ said in the article that they have 'cancelled the list' but I took that to be clumsy english-second-language and meaning the list is closed, rather than they have given up on the list and are just going to give the watch to preferred clients who had been on it. I have not made it to Geneva in the last year with lockdowns etc and no need to travel there. I'm hoping I'm still on the list but haven't even called them as I don't want to be told I'm not Still, with several years' worth of production on the waitlist it's certainly the case that all the CBs they produce in 2022 and beyond will be accounted for. Not sure if you mean that their entire 2022 production of all models is sold, which would seem extreme, but feasible, given recent demand for this brand and low production. It was only a waitlist without obligation, rather than actually needing to pay a deposit, which perhaps gives hope that I would see something in less than the 7-8 years, but there are not many people who will have put their name down and then decide to cancel when they get the call, given the secondary market valuations. |

I'll be surprised if they keep the list and call everyone when the time comes.
I wonder if there other brands having a (uncommitted) list this long and honour it? |

Due to all the rumours...
I had contact with a Journe AD a couple of hrs ago. And here is some breaking news... He told me that the latest price list did NOT mention the CB anymore. He did not want to confirm it is discontinued because there is no official statement from Journe. But that it is no longer on the price list is suspicious. So if someone can contact his AD or boutique... Give them a call and see if you hear the same story.

This is hilarious, back in 2016 I was hesitating between a CB and a 5196. Was offered discounts on both. Went for the 5196. No regrets, I still feel it’s a nicer watch.

If CB hits 100k+ are you all holding? I think it would be tempting to swap for an optimum then...

My contact says it’s not true. Time will tell. This is an AD not a boutique.

As for the comparison to the Vacheron...I actually prefer the Vacheron blue.
I was offered many times the CB several years ago and it just didn't move me in the least The VC to me is nicer. What a fun and interesting time to be a watch collector |

What difference will it make if it’s discontinued or not? With a 15 year waiting list, it basically means your not getting one. Was at the NY boutique looking for a CS and got major attitude. They weren’t even interested in taking about brand. Just like fine, will do you a favor and show you a watch or 2 and then sorry nothing available for the next 2 years. |
