Icon10 Toronto's Cherry Blossom - Euphoria inducing (Warning Lots of Pictures!)

A cherry blossom is the name for the flower of cherry trees, also known as Sakura.

High Park in Toronto, ON features many Somei-Yoshino cherry trees (the earliest species to bloom and much loved by the Japanese for their fluffy white flowers) 2000 of them were given to Toronto by Japan in 1959. Through the Sakura Project, the Japanese Embassy donated a further 34 cherry trees to High Park in 2001.

A few pictures from a quick after stroll in High Park, the cherry blossom is usually at its best the weekend before Mother's day, today was the day

Not my Camera, that's a fellow photographer's camera and he did this so as not to attract too much unwanted attention, a common practice as a matter of fact.
