Just repeating my previous comment re the Datograph. It sort of got hijacked by a well meaning reply about a new Lange 1 discussion.
"Love the Datograph. Any ALS fans with "knowledge" know if the comapny are working on a version 3? Not sure whether to wait on the 3rd iteration if it's pending or go for an up-down right now? "

Unfortunately, I think you'll never get a useful answer to this question. The development folks at Lange are always working on all sorts of things, some that we end up seeing and others that never see the light of day. The Dato Up/Down is only 6 years old, though, so I wouldn't wait around for the next generation if you like the Up/Down (though personally, I prefer the original Datograph to the Up/Down). Lange is very good at keeping its new products secret until just before they're launched, too.

Thanks. I just know the connoisseurs loved the original DG V1 for its symmetry and the DG V2 up/down for its technological advances. I'm hoping a V3 can achieve both :-) Like you- I'm leaning towards the original V1 platinum as my son / grandson may see the benefit in my decision.......

That is a fantastic post.

Let me tell you something, though. I can rank... IMHO & 100% +, I can rank...

1. Patek Philippe (Patek Philippe)

A. Lange & Sohne, No. 1 AGAI
EXACTLY THE SAME LEVEL......
Nothing happens after that...
I'll upload more photos of my favorite AL&Ss later: Zietwerk Pt, TZ Pt, DS, and Referenzuhr Pt.
Their timepieces have incredible workmanship, design, movement, and uniqueness.

Yes it has been discontinued and a newer version is coming. With the zeitwerk date, they managed to make the movement thinner with more power reserve. These advances will come to the standard zeitwerk.

I think it's just the Langematik that's still available. The other two were sold out quickly, or so I'm told. Referring only to today's launch that is

Yea, most of them are sold out.
Due to fact only 50 pieces worldwide for each of new release.

If they already sold out that’s around 20m EUR of gross revenue in one day, not bad for just 180 watches.

Isn’t that just the regular existing Zeitwerk? Or are you looking for a new version of the watch, rather than a new watch with that particular reference?

Shall I pull the triger for my first A.Lange Sohne Zeitwerk NOS 2018 model or wait for the new model next year with 72 hours power reserve?
Can I get some discount on a 3 year stock watch?

Really like the timepiece but seems lately price jump is quite big.
