I have a new PP 5524g just landed. I have a 16 mm wg deployment clasp and a black gartor band incoming to arrive next week. I have access to watchmaker tools. What is involved with removing the factory band/prong buckle and installing the deployment clasp without causing a disaster. What size tools are needed? Is this an easy deal or should I go to an AD ? I live just outside of Jax Fla and there are no ADs within decent driving distance. I dont know any warch repair places nearby. My mechanic ability is zero. My track record trying to fix stuff is dismal

Just need a really small flat screw driver (100 or 120 would probably do it. ) One screw to remove and replace on the clasp. Watch pins can be removed with the thumbnail tabs. Use the same pins on the existing strap. Some “cheater glasses) could be helpful. Don’t lose the one tiny screw. Careful over carpet… lol

Pretty straight forward project.

Carry out the procedure over a white T shirt so that if the tiny screw does a runner you can still find it and stop it running/rolling/jumping off the table. All too easy to do. (See above). Getting the screw back in is fun! In the end I used a pair or tweezers to hold it.
