Hi guys,
Just a follow up. I did buy the watch. Since the seller was in Europe I had the watch shipped to a family member until I could get it. I lost a 5512 once that was sent from Europe, it was seized by US Customs. Anyway, below more (and better) pics. I'm thinking just reluming the 24hr hand. What you guys think? Have a great weekend. |

Another option would be to source a complete set of tritium hands with matching (or close) patina, although that is a tall order. Congrats on your purchase! |

Congrats on a great watch, I would leave it alone and enjoy. In a few years if you want to shake it up and change all the hands go for it.

I wear stuff for me. I'd relume all hands (I can suggest someone in the UK if needed). If you are worried about original buy other hands and have them relumed to match and save these.

Nice looking watch.
I wouldn't rush out to lume one hand, what's the point. If the watch was serviced and the lume is not in the works, it's an honest watch and will work just fine without going through the headache. At some point it will need a service to ensure the oils, seals, and works are as they should be. At that time I would use one of the good vintage shops and have the hands - all of them - re-lumed to match.

Thanks a lot for your opinions. I think I'll relume (or more precise "recolor") all of them. Guess you are all right.
