How to get a watch authenticated pre-sale

Looking to by a Daytona 116520 in a private sale, located near Farnham Surrey. Would like it opened up and checked prior to sale . Other party is happy with this so just need to agree on what to do ? What’s the general process with this ?

If the seller is happy to authenticate why dont they take it in to RSC and ask for a service quote? I've heard the fee is £100-150 just for the check over if service is then declined.

It'll be authenticated and you'll get a statement detailing any work needed to bring it back to original spec.

You don't say how/if you know the seller and what (if any) level of trust you have in them.

Didn’t know they charge for a quote for a service but I agree probably the only way you can get it check properly unless the AD has a watchmaker in store.
